Tooting VRCHIVE
(Central Saint Martins, March 2023)
A socio-historic account immortalised through Virtual Reality education. Building an immersive experience to archive cultural
coexistence of the integration and
contribution of migrant communities in
Tooting, London. My Father’s family
migrated there from Kenya, in 1969, after previously migrating from India.
Tooting is a testament to the cultural
developments that a place and its people
can go through, and ultimately, serves
as a great example of humanity uniting. Capturing and preserving 2020’s Tooting, on the cusp of another cultural shift, gentrification.

using a quadrascopic 35mm film camera,
I took 2 stereo images and projected one
on each eye using the VR headset,
creating the illusion of depth.
